Description

Primer designed for use on processed and untreated surfaces made of plastic. Quick-drying product – drying time of 10-15 minutes. An agent that improves the adhesion of acrylic and polyurethane products to plastics. Easy to use and very efficient.

Substrates

Primer intended for application to surfaces made of various types of plastics. The surface to be coated should be carefully degreased and cleaned beforehand. It is recommended, before painting, to heat the element at 120°F, which will facilitate the removal of silicone compounds from its surface.

Note: The primer does not improve adhesion to polyethylene (PE) surfaces.

Application process

  • Substrate and surface preparation

    Primer designed for application to surfaces made of various types of plastics.
    Note: The primer does not improve adhesion to polyethylene (PE) surfaces.
    The surface to be coated should first be carefully degreased with detergent and wiped with an abrasive cloth. Then it should be washed again with detergent, rinsed with water and air dried.
    It is recommended, before starting paint work, to warm up the element at 122°F, which will facilitate the removal of silicone compounds from its surface.

    *Due to the large number of paints and varnishes on the market, a compatibility test is recommended.

  • Application
    • The best temperature for aerosol application is 59 ÷ 77°F.
    • Before application, shake the can for about 2 minutes and try the spray on a cardboard box.
    • When painting, hold the aerosol at a distance of 10÷12 inches from the painted surface.
    • Apply the primer in two thin layers at intervals of no more than 5 – 10 minutes. Shake the aerosol again before applying each subsequent layer.
    • It is recommended to set the aerosol with the valve down and press the button releasing the contents for about 5 seconds after finishing the application – this will improve the reapplication of the product and preserve its existing properties, as well as protect the nozzle from possible clogging.
    • In general, the primer does not require sanding. In case of dust inclusions, sand gently with P600 paper.
